Advice to get best fibre speeds

New install of fibre on the 16th December. Intially got 73mbps but that dropped to 65 within 2 days.
Line estimate is 79.9 and ip profile 77.44.
I've changed routers to a Asus N66U (fab wireless BTW) made sure the Ethernat cables are all 5E or cat 6.
Only thing i can see could be my extension cable. Previously went from master socket to filter and had a 15m braided shielded data cable from the filter to the modem/router. SNR was 3db on this and sync of 19000.
When fitting the fibre the openreach subcontractor didn't check my line just plugged in the new ECI modem to the existing extension and said it would be fine.
I've just connected a HG612 instead and see by SNR is 12db. Connection is stable. attainable rate is 100mbps+, no error, no interleaving.
Is the SNR a bit high? Should I try plugging the HG612 nearer the master socket? Will the SNR come down or do I need to request it?
Thanks In Advance
