Advice on reduced BB speed since switch from BT

I have recently switched from BT to PlusNet and would like some advice on why my BB performance appears to have deteriorated. I have given plenty of time for stabilisation etc (>5 days continuous connection). My latest stats are below and for comparison I've given previous stats from when I was with BT below that. My IP profile when with BT ranged from 2.5 - 3 Mbps (occasionally 3.5). I have provided both the router stats and BTW performance data. Can anyone tell me is there anything I can do about this. My router is plugged in to the master socket and I've followed all the advice. Thanks

Re: Advice on reduced BB speed since switch from BT

The sync rates of 2976 and 2720 are not significantly different, but unfortunately on 20CN you need 2848 to get the IP profile of 2.5 Mbps. You fell just short and ended up with an IP Profile of 2 Mbps.
According to http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/max_speed_calc.php for an attenuation of 50 your max speed should be 4832, so your line appears to be performing fairly poorly in general, and as expected, switching from BT to Plusnet did not change that.

Re: Advice on reduced BB speed since switch from BT

Hi there,
As ejs has mentioned it your sync rate has slightly reduced and is now setting your profile as 2Mb/s, would you be able to connect to your test socket and see if there is any difference?

Re: Advice on reduced BB speed since switch from BT

Hi, the stats were obtained while connected to the test socket. I know I can't expect super fast speeds but I want to get the best I can out of what I've got. 1.45 v 2.35 Mbps makes a noticeable difference so anything more would help. Thanks.

I've made a couple of changes on your line, can you see if there is any improvement later today and let me know.

Re: Advice on reduced BB speed since switch from BT

Hi Chris,
Thanks for looking in to this. When I got back from work and tested (at around 8 pm) I could see from the log that the connection had been re-established at around 9.44 am (your interaction, I guess). Test results show a significant improvement as follows:
Download Speed = 2.22 Mbps,
Max Achievable Speed = 7.15 Mb (don't really know what this means?),
The acceptable range of speeds is 0.6 Mbps-7.15 Mbps,
Your DSL Connection Rate :3.46 Mbps(DOWN-STREAM), 0.45 Mbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 2.5 Mbps
Router is synched as follows:
Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 448 / 3.456
A further test this morning (with a connection time of 13h 30m) gives pretty much the same stats. So fingers crossed.....
