Adsl connected but no internet

Just switched to plusnet, live date was yesterday so connected router after receiving email asking me to do so. Router did not immediately connect, but did seem to eventually. However no internet at all, and the dsl connection seems to drop v. regularly.

Router remains stuck with a username of tr069@plusdsl.net

Any help much appreciated.

Oh - I keep getting a message from bt wholesale popping up when connecting via iOS

@demonixz Welcome to the forum. Try this: Log in to the router, disconnect the DSL cable, change the TR069 to your username (and input your password), reconnect the cable and press the connect button on the screen. No guarantees, but it may work.

Thanks, tried that. Sadly it doesn’t yield any different result - connected, but no internet.

OK, sorry, but I did say 'no guarantees'. BTW, are you actually on ADSL or Fibre?

It was worth a go, and thanks for the suggestion.

Really truely on dsl - exchange only line with no other option 😅

I appreciate the suggestions gel, but I’ve literally swapped out a bt hub for a plusnet router, bt hub worked fine so I’m thinking there’s something needs looking at from the pn end.

Totally unrelated to this problem, don’t send back your BT hub. It can be configured to work on your Plusnet service and depending on which model you have will give better performance.

I'm sorry for the issues with your broadband service. I've tested your line today and the tests are showing a fault on the line, so I've raised this with our suppliers now and we've been given an estimated response time of by 15/06/21 23:59:59 for an engineer to investigate further. We'll update you as soon as we know more.

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.
