Add PPPoA to Technicolor TG582n router

Hi all
I have an unused Technicolor TG582n PlusNet branded router. I want to give this to a friend who is another PlusNet customer. They are having problems with the wireless connection on their old router and as I'm not using this device I want to give it to them. When I hook it up and login the only internet connection type available is PPPoE and I cant get it configured to work with their ADSL connection.
Is there a configuration file available to change the connection type to PPPoA? I can telnet into the device and make the changes manually if someone can let me know what they are.
Many thanks
George

if it was for fibre it has a different firmware so you would need to reflash it, but you still owe PN for it so if you leave before the 18months is up they would expect it back or you would have to buy it for £40
FTTP 500 regrade from Tues 28th November

They don't accept it back - you just pay the money

Yeah its the FTTC one. I don't mind reflashing this router because its very unlikely I'll be leaving PlusNet in the next 18 months.
Do you guys know where I can get the firmware?

Whilst the information on the above link may be perfectly correct (I haven't checked it all) http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,112177.msg961940.html#msg961940 is what you ought to look at for Plusnet Firmware.
