Activation Delay

Hi,
Moved into new property last week, had phone line installed and was promised Broadband would be activated by Friday at the latest, it's now Sunday and still nothing. Rang Plusnet yesterday who said they were unable to give me any information as to what was causing the delay, not very impressed. Need an internet connection soon, so does anybody have any experience as to how long this sort of thing can take?

Hi Oliver,
Welcome to the forums.  The answer is "it depends upon what the issue is" and a proper answer requires PlusNET staff (CRT) who are not around here on weekends. The list includes...
Order failure in PlusNet's systems
Order failure in BTw / BTOR systems (all too common)
No available infrastructure (you did not indicate FTTC or ADSL) certainly all too common for FTTC
Work done but not passed off to PlusNET as complete by BTOR / BTw
Account not yet activated by PlusNET
You could just try plugging the router in and see what lights come on!

I'm glad to see that the account is now active and I can see an ongoing connection. If you need anything more then please don't hesitate to ask.
