ADSL2

Plusnet newbie here  Smiley
Is there a way I can check to see if I am on ADSL2. Apparently my line supports it but I am not sure if I am on ADSL2 or not.
Thanks
Jeremy

Re: ADSL2

Look at the stats on your router if you are on ADSL2 or ADSL2+ it will state G.992.3 or G992.5 if on ADSL it will be G.992.1
There is another possibility - check the upstream speed on the router - if it isn't 448kbps (444 or 445kbps is usual) then you are on ADSL2 or ADSL2+

Here is a printscreen of the router stats.
Is it just me or do img tags not work on this forum?

Re: ADSL2

the image tags do work but only if the image is not on your machine, however you can attach them, click on the Additional option below the input page and it comes up with a browse box
you are on ADSL1, and your download speed of 3500 suggest that you will get no improvement from ADSL2+

Its odd the img tags work fine on other forums when using lightshot.
Just before I left BT I did have the router connected into the master socket because of connection issues. The router would drop out every so often for about 20mins to an hour.
But when it was working ok I was getting speeds of up to 7mbps down and almost 1mbps up.
I have moved the router so it is behind an extension cable which will affect the speed. I might give it a try in the master socket again see if that improves anything.
I am currently having upload speed issues of around about 0.10mbps. I changed the wireless channel on the router on advise from a PN technical person and that improved things for a few days but its gone back down to about 0.10.
