Re: ADSL2+ query

Hi all,
FYI I've been running some checks for anniesboy, one supplier system confirm that this is a MAX DSL circuit already and line tests done on another seem to think otherwise. Due to this discrepancy I'll need to dig deeper. I'll reply back here when I've deal with this...

Re: ADSL2+ query

Given the sync speeds which are absolutely correct for a 1Mb fixed and the high noise margin which means if they were on MaxDSL they would be syncing faster there's only one conclusion I would reach!
(I did wonder why you hadn't suggested MaxDSL - but if the BT systems are telling porkies...)

Re: ADSL2+ query

Hi again,
The bad news is I can't move the line from fixed 1mb to ADSL max. However the good news is that I have been able to place a modify order to move the circuit to ADSL1 (up to 8mb) on 21CN. That should complete on the 15th so we'll just have to see how things go from there.

Re: ADSL2+ query

Very many thanks to all who have contributed.
Absolutely first class response, especially considering my initial query.
I cant say I follow the technicalities.
I will update after the 15th.

Re: ADSL2+ query

No problem, to put it more simply it means that there was a discrepancy between 2 different systems which made it look like you already had an up to 8mb connection where as you clearly don't, but on the upside you will next week. Smiley

Re: ADSL2+ query

Adam: Was it the discrepancy that meant you couldn't order MaxDSL?

Yes, I would have gone down that router otherwise. The 20CN ordering system (ECO) seems to think the line is already Max, ergo I could not upgrade anything via that system which is why I'm moving the line to 21CN.

Re: ADSL2+ query

Looking good - I'd be interested to see your router stats (as in reply #5). Could you post them please?
