Back in reply #37 I did say that I had a call from a BT engineer on 21st December to say that the Dis fault was most likely a false-positive and that he couldn't find any other issues so I took the broadband route as the phone route didn't seem to solve anything and I also felt that was the direction Matt was pointing me in his reply #40.
Either way the engineer that came Sunday was a telephone one and not a broadband one - his words. He said he did some work at the exchange but when I pressed him about it he wasn't forthcoming with any further info.
If you're suggesting that this should be put back to a telephone fault then I'll give it a go. Hopefully someone from the Team will pop his/her head in tomorrow and offer some further info or advice before I do anything.

But here's something strange (to me at least); Around 4am I couldn't sleep so was reading on line when I noticed the line drop. I knew it had as the usual occurrance of Yahoo logging out and back in again automatically.
I then checked the router stats which tells me that the Internet connection dropped at that time but, oddly, the ADSL didn't.
Stats as of a few minutes ago.

Could anyone comment on this - a quirk of the Homehub? Or is this normal?

One reason could be that Plusnet may have updated their version of the IP profile or just that they moved you to a different gateway to solve connection problems (unlikely as they haven't announced that they were doing it) or something in the Plusnet edge routers lost and regained the session

If it continues to remain stable then that'll be OK. I was just concerned that it may start dropping frequently again. Fingers crossed.
