That looks a lot better.

I've placed a modify order to turn interleaving off, that will complete at some-point tomorrow.
Let me know how you get on.

Thanks Chris.
Dont know what that random disconnect at 4am on Friday was/is. Certainly seems more stable on that router than the DGN2200 I bought. Its on its way back to Amazon.

Quote from: chesterfield Wonder if its worth trying to get interleaving switched off again now?
How many FEC errors are being logged? With interleaving off they will be hard errors that will require a retransmission. If there's a lot your apparent throughput and latency may be a lot worse.

Well, interleaving must have been switched off. Pings dropped to 17ms, gaming was great, then I noticed that the line had resynchronised again this afternoon for some reason. Checked pingtest, and Im back up to the 30ms pings again....
Can somebody check to see if interleaving has been turned on again? If so - why?
Cant check FEC errors on this belkin router as far as I know.
The connection was great, albeit I lost a little speed and went down to 12000 rather than 14000, but that didnt bother me. If Interleaving has been turned back on, can BT be asked to switch it off, and please stop di**ing around with my line?

Your line has had high errors so interleaving has automatically switched itself on. I can request that this is turned off so it wouldn't have the option of automatically turning on. Your line may be less stable with interleaving turned off.

Hi there,
Just to add a bit of detail to the above, you are opted out of interleaving but it seems to have been turned on anyway in spite of this - looks like a hiccup in BTs systems because we're getting conflicting reports across two of their systems.
Chris has this in hand for you as above but it'll take a couple of days as in order to sort it we need to set interleaving to Auto (that order is currently underway) then turn it off again which will happen tomorrow and complete on Wednesday.
Hope that helps explain.

Is it at all possible to request a lift and shift?
Ive had a rock solid connection for at least three years of living here. Then recently Ive had an engineer visit that when he tested after fixing the line showed zero errors.
Problems started as soon as the exchange went to 21CN and I asked to be moved onto it. (about three weeks after the engineer visit) Ever since then Ive had disconnects, errors and interleaving switched on. Ive tried everything at this end, different routers, disconnecting all other equipment (although there is only one phone in the house and its isolated after the engineer put in a ADSL faceplate).
The only thing that has changed in the years of steady connection and zero problems on xbox live, is 21CN. So Ive a feeling they have goosed something at the exchange, or Im in a faulty port. Can I have a lift and shift, or somebody at BT look at why Im getting loads of errors since moving to 21cn?

I've already placed the order to turn your interleaving off permanently before reading your response, this will complete tomorrow. Once this has completed we can we will be able to see exactly what errors your line is encountering.

Thanks Chris - lets see whats happening afterward.
Its incredibly strange that after the engineer visit (about three weeks prior to going to 21cn), the engineer stated there were zero errors that he could see, even thought Id get the full 20mb (which I thought was optimistic given my distance to the exchange and attenuation), but none the less he advised no errors at all. Then the problems with iffy voice chat online and errors on the line seem to have started as soon as I moved to 21CN. Its the only thing I can point the finger at now.
