ADSL2+ and IP block

Hi,
My exchange (Godstone) is due for upgrade to ADSL2+ by the end of March.
If I was to request a move to this would this have any effect on my current package (old PAYG 15GB) & block of 8 IP's?
Many thanks for any info...
Shamus

Re: ADSL2+ and IP block

No, it's just your connection to the exchange that would change, not the account you have with us Smiley

Re: ADSL2+ and IP block

Would you be able to check if my exchange is available to take orders for an ADSL2+ move?
http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/adslchecker.welcome - kind of implies that it is done....
Many thanks,
Shamus

Re: ADSL2+ and IP block

Hi Shamus,
If the BT checkers shows availability then that should enable us to place an order on their systems for you.
I shall try that now and let you know how I get on.
Adam
EDIT: order 1-11321530386 now placed and due to complete on 5/4/12 Smiley

how do you know what my Plusnet username is?

voodoo Cheesy err.. no when you register to the community site the form asks you for your Plusnet account username, if you enter that it links one to the other, hence if I search for "shamus" as a community username on our systems it finds your account.

I was previously syncing at >16000000 downstream. This wouldn't be a problem if my upstream had increased significantly.
As can be seen from the above the upstream sync is virtually unchanged as was previously syncing at 444000. Is this a limitation of my line or is some other cap being applied somewhere that is preventing a higher sync rate on upstream?

That doesn't look like it's uncapped!

Re: ADSL2+ and IP block

Could one of you kind Plusnet folk please check my account:
https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed indicates Current line speed of 6.5 Mb but am syncing at 14678784bps
Could you also check my upload has been uncapped as I cannot sync higher than 444937bps.

Re: ADSL2+ and IP block

Hi shamus,
Your upload order was placed but it is a 5 working day order. It's due to complete on the 17th. As for your speed I've changed your profile to 12900 to allow for your new BT IP profile. This should take effect shortly.

Re: ADSL2+ and IP block

HI Shamus,
would you like me to see if I can cancel the current order, in which case I'll be able to place it manually and get it complete in 24 hours, save you waiting until next week?
