ADSL2+ Upgrade

Hi plusnet peeps.
My upgrade order for ADSL2+ was due to complete yesterday, however I'm still getting download speeds around 7mbs
My router shows a downstream of 8128kbps. I presume this should show the maximum for ADSL2+?
Any help gratefully received.
Matt

Re: ADSL2+ Upgrade

Netgear dgn2200
Should also mention, had to reset this router a couple of time the other day. Thought it was playing up. It turns out it was due to PN going down, which I found out after. Could it be they are waiting for the line to be stable before moving over to the new network?

Re: ADSL2+ Upgrade

If you go to ADSL Settings in the router what does it say for DSL Mode

Re: ADSL2+ Upgrade

Hi there,
The order to move you over to ADSL2+ wasn't scheduled to complete until the end of the month due to an error with the order, I've changed this and it will now complete tomorrow for you, you'll then see the faster speeds.

Re: ADSL2+ Upgrade

@chrispurvey/plusnet
I don't think the upgrade went through as planned today.
Downstream still set @ 8128kbps
DSL is set to AUTO. I have changed to ADSL2+ but the router throws a wobbly. I have also tried turning it off and back on to see if that would move things along.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Also in addition - Now all wireless connected devices are struggling to get connected. i.e. endlessly obtaining ip address then losing signal. Laptop seems to be holding steady at the mo. But took a while to find a stable signal. Also I am the only router using the wifi channel. There are a couple of other routers nearby but using the low numbered channels.

Re: ADSL2+ Upgrade

Leave it on auto - today could be any time up to midnight
I suggest leaving everything alone.
It will either change or it won't but Chris is unlikely to be back until Monday

Re: ADSL2+ Upgrade

@oldjim.
I'm starting to think I should have done just that. Nothing. But you know sometimes you can't help 'fiddling'.
I have fixed the connection issue - but the speed is way down from what it was.
Time to leave well alone and go to the pub!

Re: ADSL2+ Upgrade

If the order was 20CN to 21CN they are 5 day lead time orders!
