ADSL2+ Reset and Re-Training

Am I allow to ask Plusnet to ask BTW to reset and re-training again on ADSL2+ like go back to 10 days training period again to get the correct SNR & Speed again. As I do believe that BTW put my ADSL2+ too much SNR on my line as their default put me on 15323K at 9.1db as that far too high (as a result force my IP Profile had dropped from 14000K to 13000K because I used to have 3.0db but it now disappear) as I want my ADSL2+ to be around 3.0db as possible. Can Plusnet do that ?

Re: ADSL2+ Reset and Re-Training

The training period is not to find the highest speed for your line but to find the maximum minimum speed for fault thresholds.
The DLM is always monitoring the line and will adjust the SNRM as and when the system believe it can. The default SNRM is 6dB and very few lines will the DLM change this to 3dB.

ok, so 9.1db is far too much then. It should be reduced by 3.0db by DLM itself or never will do ?

Re: ADSL2+ Reset and Re-Training

You have to look at the errors and how often you lose sync to determine whether 9dB is too high. I would say that it's probably the most common value for the SNRM.
