Where the snr threshold was changed its obviously now rising unnecessarily.
I just hope the 6dB pin will apply with the interleaving when the current order completes.
Why openreach had to change things I don't know.

No, it's syncing at 9dB
Aye, both the SNR target & margin are at 9db

The order I've placed to turn off interleaving, & modify the DLM threshold is just to prevent the target from dropping to 3db
We should hear more on that by the end of the week, we'll follow up at the start of next.

I thought an order was placed for the SNR to be pinned at 6dB?

The order I've placed was just to help it from dropping to 3db.
I also sent an e-mail over to Openreach to pin it to 6db but it doesn't look like it's been done.
I've sent a chaser e-mail over now.
News just in. Our suppliers have pinned the SNR target at 6db. We've been advised to allow 4 hours for it take effect, and a further 24 hours for the circuit to stabilise.

If the change takes effect after 4 hours, and the OP resyncs with the new SNRM what's going to happen in the next 24 hours? Sounds like your suppliers are talking nonsense to me.

Any idea what's happening with the interleaving?

5 working days for BT to turn around a simple support query ... really does help explain why Plusnet are struggling to achieve their 72 hour response windows for end users. BTOR BT Wholesale clearly do not give a care!
I trust that this inadequate responsiveness from BTOR BT Wholesale is on David L's radar?

All these ADSL DLM parameters are done by BTWholesale, they are nothing to do with Openreach.

Hurray, connected at 6dB target with interleaving off.
Sub 20 ms pings and it doesn't even seem to have lost much sync speed. Connecting at around 4000kbps, with a throughput of 3.5 mbps. Sorted.
I assume the interleaving order won't have messed with the 6dB target? Does your system show it as pinned?

Fantastic.

It shouldn't.

I think the term pinned is just a figure of speech. Our suppliers had made some changes to keep the target at 6db and I can see the profile is still showing as such now.
