I see that you've already bought the d-link and I'm late to the party but ...
If I ever switched back from fibre to ADSL2+ I'd still be using the HG612 I got off eBay (with the sole intention of unlocking it so I could access its stats.).
I had it in place for a couple of weeks before the fibre upgrade occurred and it was rock solid (more so than the Netgear DM111P+ I was using previously and I'd always called that rock solid!) . As it has two ethernet ports, you use one for the modem -> wan connection on your router and the other you can plug the other in to the switch and still access the stats / admin pages over the local network.
May be worth thinking about if the lack of stats on the d-link end up being frustrating, or if it develops a fault.
