1. An error occurred sending mail: The mail server sent an incorrect greeting: Cannot connect to SMTP server 212.159.9.107 (212.159.9.107:25), connect error 10060.
2. The message could not be sent because the connection to SMTP server relay.plus.net was lost in the middle of the transaction. Try again or contact your network administrator.
3. An error occurred with the POP3 mail server. Mail server mail.plus.net responded:
Greetings, Jojo.
Could not log on at all for half an hour this morning and also for a long time about midnight last night. How about you checking your equipent and letting us know when the normal service will be resumed?
Alex

Quote Connection problems (65804) - NEW
Broadband
Posted on: Tuesday 15 February 2011, 11:59
A number of our broadband customers have been unable to connect to the Internet this morning. Problems started occurring around 9.00pm and affect those with @f9.co.uk or @plusnet.co.uk in their broadband username.
We have identified the cause of the problem and expect the situation to be resolved during the next thirty minutes or so.
We'll post another update then.
Apologies for the inconvenience.
Kind regards,
Bob Pullen

Looks like a fairly major intermittent connection fault there from your connection logs:

I can see you're turning the router off overnight but there's definitely some drops there too. Could you try leaving the router on at all times and if the drops in connection still happen try plugging the router into the master socket with all phones and other items removed from the line?

Thank you Matt, will do. I started disconnecting the router overnight after the second router supplied by you burned out within a year to 18 months.

Hi, Matt,
I turned the Thomson router on on Tuesday at 23.05 and left it on for 24hrs until Wednesday 23.05. It is connected to the master socket downstairs so I only used my mobile on Wi-Fi as my PC is upstairs and has no Wi-Fi facility. ON Wednesday at 23.05 I turned my main router on and it is still on as I write -Friday 15.12hrs. I did have one "DNS failed"; one "ISP rungoff" and about 3 "No Response", which is about normal.
Can you check if there were any dropouts during all that time, please?
Many thanks,
Alex
