Re: A rather sad ADSL2 connection...

Hopefully the Line balance is better than it was. We could do with seeing a CLT result.

Re: A rather sad ADSL2 connection...

Thanks Tony.
Well that is only marginally better than before, although the improvement in celerity has helped a bit in improving the speed slightly.
I don't know what errors the engineer was looking at but errors don't seem less or gone! Clearly from the engineers comments and report the 'E' side was poor (and may still be albeit maybe a bit better) but I'm not convinced the 'D' side is anywhere near what it should be, and would be only thing that would have accounted for the extremely poor Fibre performance when it was tried. My gut feeling is a Boost is required.
I also suggest that on any further engineer visits, you switch off the modem/router and only switch back on when they have finished (this may help prevent any undesirable DLM behaviour).
I noticed Tony missed the need to get the Upstream uncapped.

Re: A rather sad ADSL2 connection...

Let me know how you want to proceed either on here, or on your account.
With regards to upload, yes, I missed that. I've placed an order to increase it for you.

Re: A rather sad ADSL2 connection...

A boost is an engineer. There are benefits to them over SFI's ("normal" broadband engineers).

@Tony, thanks for the explanation. I've put some possible dates into the question on the Member Centre.

I'll give Tony a nudge as I don't think he's around the forums today.

Re: A rather sad ADSL2 connection...

Sorry, I saw your ticket first thing but haven't had chance to pick it up yet.
I'm on it now though. I'll update your ticket when I get confirmation.

Re: A rather sad ADSL2 connection...

@Tony, thanks saw the engineer booking for the middle of this week.
From the attached graphs, you can see when the upstream was uncapped. The odd thing is the BTW speedtest results have not changed for the upstream:
[tt]Download speed achieved during the test was - 2.81 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 1.2 Mbps-4 Mbps.
IP Profile for your line is - 2.93 Mbps[/tt]

Re: A rather sad ADSL2 connection...

The upload has definitely uncapped, it's strange that you haven't see any increase at all though in the throughput. Is it still the same today?

Re: A rather sad ADSL2 connection...

@Chris, it's a bit odd as the upstream speed does not appear to have budged.
