A ping odity ?

I have run a couple of ping/ speed tests just now. They report the IP address as 31.185.190.xxx but my router monitor reports 146.90.122.xxx.
The former's WHOIS refers to PN dial up.
Please dis-confuse or combobulate me!  Grin
No one has to agree with my opinion, but in the time I have left a miracle would be nice.

Re: A ping odity ?

That is very bizarre indeed
I can confirm your current IP address assigned is the 31.185 one but the 146.90 was from your previous session
If its causing any issues I'd recommend rebooting your router

Re: A ping odity ?

Did you ping by IP address or host name, as in...?
Ping -a hostname
Could this be a matter of a DNS cache having not yet updated with the new IP address / routing tables?
