6.20mb Download- 0mb upload... So Slow Recently

I have been letting the children and other half use My personal computer for about a week now and have noticed a huge decrease in speed, I'm getting 6.2 DL but loading pages takes forever. My upload is none existent as it always fails. timing plusnet forums loading is 25 seconds and then loads partially.

Have you checked what is running in the background such as P2P which would give exactly that effect

only turned pc on, Nothing should be running.

Yes it can - P2P often sets up a service which starts when the computer starts
I suggest getting Networx to see if there is any usage and also check the services actually running - for all users

I always ctrl-alt-delete - task manager to see whats running

Perhaps you've been throttled for going over your download allowance ?
A search of this forum will explain more, if you need it.
The clue may be in your initial question !

i have deleted a program called Rapport that my bank always was asking me to use online. Everything seems faster but still not as it was. loading  is now 5 seconds so cant complain, i believe history/cookies etc etc has been deleted in which i have no idea why and could be that second i used to have. Thanks for the help.

I had some extra users on my wireless everthing is sorted now all back to normal. I had to turn off Router pass because of a connection problem so thats how they got on.

Next doors children friends of your children ?
Secondly, beware of them setting up a sharing network with your computer to access your router indirectly, either through wi-fi or Bluetooth.
