Have one of the old 585 V8 routers and pretty much tried every fix i can find but i get the DLNA server dropping after 20-30 mins. Reading up this issue is fairly common, tho i seem stuck with it!
Was wondering are the 582n`s giving anyone else better results with a DLNA server at all?
Cheers.

Is the TG 585 v8 is running firmware version 8.2.7.7 ?
If so this fix may help:

Typo on your useful website npr - It should be DLNA, not DNLA

Already tried that telnet fix, didn`t do anything to cure the issue. Was wondering if the newer 582n was less problematic before i give PN a bell.

Thanks
@ anything but,
Does xbmc ( Raspbmc on a raspberry pi ) use dlna ?
If it does then there's no problem here using a TG582n, TG587nv2 or TG672.

Not too sure on that, but managed a temp workaroud by using the 585 as a wireless bridge on my old Netgear DG834. Everything plays fine through the tv via DLNA now (indicating it`s deffo the 585 Ethernet side giving issues)
I`m not sure if it`s the age of the 834 or the disconnections with trying things, but my dl NM bumped up from 3.5db to 14db (only 300m from exchange). I`m giving it a few days to see if things get back to normal speed wise then i may be in the market for a new router in the budget category!
