582n Latest Firmware

What's the latest firmware anyone has for the TG 582n?
Mine came with 8.4.4 J but I've seen 10.2.2.9, 10.2.0.B and 10.2.1.8 mentioned on the forum.

Re: 582n Latest Firmware

We're testing 10.2.2.B at the moment. This is the latest build available and includes Wifi improvements and fully IPv6 support (but disabled by default as our broadband network hasn't been upgraded yet)
This is an ADSL firmware for the TG582n, the version we're testing doesn't have USB support. I can upgrade your router remotely if you're interesting in trying it out?

Thanks Matt,
Please do that (my router doesn't have a USB port anyway)

Ok, I've pushed that out now, should take about 10/15 minutes. Let me know how you get on.

Re: 582n Latest Firmware

Hi Matt,
Would it be possible if I could try out this firmware too please? I don't mind upgrading myself too if that's an option. I'm having wireless issues with 10.2.2.9 whereby once I've set the wireless settings for the router and then reboot it I can no longer access wireless on the router, and that's regardless of what device tries to connect, I just get a message that states that the connection attempt has 'timed out', it's reproducible every time I do this. There is only one way to get around this issue and that's by connecting a LAN cable to the router, logging in to the router we bpage, then clicking 'Apply' on the wireless settings and then it magically begins working? Extremely annoying and never happened on 8.4.4 J.
It'd be interesting to see if this new firmware fixes the problem as I've noticed you state there are wifi improvements with 10.2.2.B.
Thanks,
Mark..

Re: 582n Latest Firmware

When updates are pushed out is it by router serial number or user name?

Re: 582n Latest Firmware

What issues are 10.2.0.9/10.2.0.B meant to resolve or ameliorate? When are they expected to be pushed out officially?
Sorry if this should be obvious, but we wrinklies do thend to lose track. Crazy Grin

Is that Technicolor 582n that plusnet will sent out this router for ADSL2+ / FTTC support ? Does this router had a broadcom chipset ?
