535 Incorrect authentication data

Hi.
I'm unable to send e-mails from my MS Outlook Express email  client.
A dialog repeatedly requests my username and password which I know have been entered correctly.
I can receive e-mails.
'535 Incorrect authentication data' is present in smtp.log after attempting to send.
PlusNet have resolved this issue recently (http://www.plus.net/supportpages.html?a=2&support_action=messages&ispservice_id=email):

but 5 days have elapsed and I still have a problem.
I am confident my email client account settings are correct.
I have executed 'telnet relay.plus.net'.
Any ideas?

Sorted this problem out.
My anti-virus software AVG was preventing the sending of e-mails.
Open AVG.
Select 'E-mail scanner'
Right click and select properties.
Click the 'Properties' button to the left of the 'Disable Plugin' button.
Select the 'Servers' tab
Select 'SMTP' entry.
Click 'Modify' button.
Change the Relay Host from fixed to Automatic.
Hope this helps someone else.
