5 days no phone

Hi, ive had a problem with my phone line which is now fixed, had bt engineer out today.
I've checked online with my account and my speed was 21mb now its just over 11mbps, will it automatically put itself right or will customer service have to reset something?

Re: 5 days no phone

Our tests are still showing your sync speeds as 24mbps so you should be getting better speeds.

Have you tried disconnecting and reconnecting your PPP session?

Re: 5 days no phone

Hi Just checked estimated line speed its gone form 21 to

Estimated line speed:
There's no speed estimate currently held on your account.
Current line speed:
11.6 Mb
The wires on the main socket were causing all sorts of crackling on line and permanently engaged

Re: 5 days no phone

Hey there. I've adjusted your connection profile now, if you reboot your router you should see a faster speed.

This is my personal Community Forum account to help out around these parts while I'm at home. If I'm posting from the 1st March 2020, this means I'm off-duty with no access to internal systems.

Re: 5 days no phone

Hi Anoush, Thanks for that, yes my download speed is back to normal but ( theirs always a but) my upload speed is down to a third of what is normal for me, I've done some tests and im putting results here for you, I don't know if this is a problem at the moment but I'm finding web pages taking an age to load and getting time outs a lot as well.

If you need any more information please let me know and I'll send what is necessary

Re: 5 days no phone

It looks like your upload has been capped which is why the SNR margin is so high on your upload.

I'm just looking at this for you.

Re: 5 days no phone

Hi, Just wondering whats happening Mathew, should I raise a ticket about this problem? The problem with the main BT socket was two wires were degraded and touching so I had no dialing tone bad interference and permanent  engaged tone when someone tried to phone in. It had this problem for 5 days, hence the trouble I'm experiencing now.

If I need to raise a ticket could you let me know and I'll do so as soon as possible

regards
