44 days no broadband is this a new record

Hi

I reported a fault to Plusnet 29th July no broadband connection,

Steady orange light, sometimes flashing orange, was told it's not syncing?

It took them nearly 5 weeks to actually be able to raise the fault with openreach

Issues with system, possible incorrect BBEU....

Had 2 appointments booked with an engineer last few days, who never attended.either appoinment

Now I've been told there waiting for an update????Huh

Is this typical behaviour from this company now? Been with Plusnet nearly 10 years

@Povvercrazy You've been with them 10 years and this is the only fault you have had? Good going.

If you have had the connection for that length of time, 'possible incorrect BBEU' does not sound plausible.

Some areas do seem to suffer from 'non-attendance' by OR, but unfortunately there is little an ISP can do about that, OR are a law unto themselves.

Waiting for an update from OR is what they have to do - see previous comment.

In response to the title "44 days no broadband is this a new record"

My Dad suffered a 4 month outage of phone and ADSL. Hope you aren't in the same sort of time frame/ priority for Openreach with yours!

Re: 44 days no broadband is this a new record

I do hope not!

I hope your father was adequately compensated,

The issue I have and it's been the same since day one is they can't raise the fault with openreach!!!!!!

It's laughable

Had to buy a new mobile upgrade to a unlimited date contract and leave it in my loft to get a decent signal strength, just so I have some semblance of internet connection to hotspot from

Openreach should not be insulated from customers like this

There was a nice payout at the end of it yes, at £9 per day. Also provided was a mifi type device, which maybe you should push for.
