Quote from: jotojotopo Does anyone know if we use an off-the-shelf router to connect to Plusnet?
Sorry, only just spotted that nobody has answered this for you, the answer is yes, but on ADSL you need a modem/router of course
Welcome to the forum as well.

Are you still having a problem or has it been resolved?

Thanks Anotherone for checking if I'm now okay. I think I am, but it's early days as I thought I had sorted a couple of times before. What seems to have worked for me, is to do a factory reset via the web browser rather than the pin in the back of the router.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Thanks for that information ticktak, interesting. Out of curiosity had you tried the pin in the back factory reset previously?

Yes, I tried the pin about three times over a couple of days and found it worked for a few minutes only. I then tried your suggestion of the pin, unplugging etc, but that also failed for me. In desperation I went into the router settings and did a factory reset, which has now worked for over a day, so I'm hoping it's all sorted.
Cheers.
Cheers.

Great stuff. When I have a chance, hopefully later this week, I shall have a play with a few things. I'll post here if anything interesting comes to light.
