HI bluewhale,
We had a number or drops on 21CN last night and it was alerted to BT. After investigation they hadn't raised it and the lost connections seemed to have picked up.

I presume at 2am what you were informed was the most up to date information we had.

lost connection at 00.38hrs

Same here, approximately. Certainly, some time between 0.30 and 1am.
http://usertools.plus.net/exchanges/mso.php?id=25890 is a report of a BT fault which was detected at 0.38 -- but the fault is for Birmingham and there are no London (020) exchanges listed on the "affected" list.

I was told it was 21CN nationwide.

15/09/2010 @ 16:37      Broadband Network Capacity (320534) - NEW
We have three different 'settings' for our automated network management solution according to the conditions the network is under - Plan A (normal operation), Plan B (high demand operation) and Plan C (disaster situation) - http://www.plus.net/support/broadband/quality_broadband/load.shtml
Over recent days we've noticed some adverse performance and latency across our network during peak times along with an increase in customer usage patterns. Due to these reasons we're making the decision to set the network capacity to 'Amber' and move to 'Plan B' operation. This is in effect for customers on both our 20CN and 21CN networks.

Hi A Fox is Evil,
It was 00.38 on the 15th so it wouldn't have been affected by that message.
