21CN

Hi, is there any news of my local exchange being updated to 21CN?
If it has been upgraded could I be switched over?

It has just become 21CN enabled so I've placed an order to regrade you over to the 21CN network. This is scheduled to complete on the 4th September.

Hi, I cant see that the changeover to 21CN has happened today yet, do I need to do anything such as restart my router?

The engineer will physically rewire your line in the exchange. It will drop for a few minutes while he does the work and then should reconnect automatically.

Hi there,
I've just checked the order and it hasn't completed yet, orders can complete at any time during the day. The change over should happen automatically so you shouldn't need to restart your router.

I was told when I took out my contract last December that I would get 7.5mb +/- 1mb then when it was nowhere near that I was told that the estimation was for 21cn and I would have to wait for my exchange to be updated, which I patiently did.
21CN has made no difference to my download speed at all, so I am disappointed with being misled from the start about the speed of my connection.

Comparing that with the stats in one of your earlier posts you've seen a small increase in download (given your attenuation I'd say you'd done well). You have also gained a significant increase in upload speed.
Has the PN current line speed caught up? I think it should be 4900.

You won't see faster actual speeds until that changes - hopefully one of the PN bods will see this soon and give it a poke.
