21CN Enablement

Not applicable

Re: 21CN Enablement

I believe its only the WBC that you need - the PSTN refers to Public Switched Telephone Network I believe, and thus relates to when BT will move the voice elements of your line onto their new network.

Re: 21CN Enablement

does any one know if bt have totaly redesigned the network when coming up with wbc by redesign i mean have they sorted how the system profiles your line ie waiting 3 days for your profile to go back to normall after just simply turning your router off and on with a gap of half hour. if it wasnt b.t's system then i would off thought some one was trying an april fools with this system.
as i belive llu dosent have this silly profiling system. so i can only hope that the wbc network dosent have this joke off a system.

Re: 21CN Enablement

Someone obviously thought it was a good idea at the time ( a few years back now) but since then things have moved on I guess.

Re: 21CN Enablement

Not completely.
It will use intelligent bRAS profiling.

Re: 21CN Enablement

It's quite simple really.  It's bRAS profiling.
But cleverer.

The same as now but it thinks about it before getting it wrong! Wink

Re: 21CN Enablement

Giving the responses so far Intelligent BRAS is not an improvement but more of the same.

Re: 21CN Enablement

Hehe, don't listen to us, we're just being cynical.
I would be very surprised if the new implementation does not offer significant improvements to the current system.

Re: 21CN Enablement

Intelligent and b.t lol.    well if it isnt an improved profile system there will be alot of angry customers if there on an upto 24mb on wbc then they see there profile go down to somthing rubish for a few days.
as plus net will all ready know customers dont like it when there profiles r droped on a standard 8mb connection im sure the 24mb will cause a few head aches.

Re: 21CN Enablement

Why does the user end of a connection have a profile limiter whilst the server end doesn't?
Especially since most servers don't come near to 8Mbits/sec.
