20MB upgrade - profile catchup?

My connection was reset this morning around 6am as part of the WBC upgrade, so my router (585v7) shows 1,195 / 20,035 Up/Down.
As nothing seems much faster and speedtests show me getting my usual 6.5M down, I'm presuming it's just a case of waiting 'til my profile catches up in a couple of days time?
Will it help to reboot the router a couple of times over the next couple of days?
Or shall I simply be patient

You could check what your Current Line speed (Login required) is set at.

yes it's my "old" speed as expected, that's why I'm asking whether I simply need to wait a bit for it to reset or whether I can do anything to speed the process along.

If you run a BT speed test I'd anticipate it would be showing an IP Profile of about 17670. If your current line speed hasn't update to near that (it should be 17600 I think) by tomorrow morning raise a ticket/ring them up/post on here to request that it is updated.

It shows how long it is since I paid much attention to speeds and lines and whatnot that I've forgotten all this.
Yep BT test shows 17.68 and line speed on PN profile still shows 7150.

HI paulh,
I've just changed your profile our end to 17600 in line with your sync speed. This should take effect shortly.
Having just ran a line test I notice that your bRAS profile is not set by BT yet, so let me know how this goes.

mybroadbandspeed and speedtester.bt.com now both show 5.5Mb which is less than I'd get pre-WBC but the FAQ does warn about unstable initial speeds; also the bt test completed but noted an error in retrieving all results.
So I'll keep a weather eye on things and report back tomorrow sometime.

I particularly like that apparently I have a better upload speed than the maximum achievable upload speed
