Re: 20 bytes per second

Too good to last
Crawling again and guess what - BT were back at the DP in the village this morning
Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test:  -provides background information.
    Your DSL connection rate: 3776 kbps(DOWN-STREAM),  832 kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP profile for your line is - 3000 kbps
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 41 kbps

Re: 20 bytes per second

Well at least that throughput is 20x faster than last time it went wrong  Crazy
This just isn't funny is it! Whoever the engineers in the field are here, they need to escalate it to the highest level.

Re: 20 bytes per second

you are right Anotherone - this is very frustrating - latest result slightly better but still rubbish
Your DSL connection rate: 4896 kbps(DOWN-STREAM),  832 kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP profile for your line is - 4000 kbps
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 102 kbps
This test was not conclusive and further testing is required.

Re: 20 bytes per second

Ah, now that looks more promising - because of the last line. Check your profile in the member centre. Try running the BT speedtester again later or first thing in the morning, and things have not righted themselves maybe James can pick it up and look at profiling from his end.

Re: 20 bytes per second

Morning,
I'm sorry to see that the problem appears to have reoccured.
Has this continued into Monday?  From BTs testing on the open fault, they show no fault condition (although however they do not test throughput specifically).
Please let me know and also please let me know if you wish me to action the other request on your ticket.

Re: 20 bytes per second

Good morning james
I seem to be up to normal speed this morning.
However the fault seems intermittent - throughput over the weekend was virtually unusable

Re: 20 bytes per second

Strange.  There's nothing at this end that would cause such a slowdown.
I think the best bet is to keep an eye on things and to see if it reoccurs.

Re: 20 bytes per second

Update for anyone that is interested as BT seem not to be.
Throughput today absolutely useless - pages taking for ever to load.
BT put original fault down to a general fault in the area - don't think so as next door neighbour
also with PN and his throughput is flying.
I have updated the open ticket to this effect. Latest speedtester result

IP profile for your line is - 3000 kbps

Getting pretty cheesed off with the whole situation

Re: 20 bytes per second

This is pathetic. Have you had a look at your exchange status recently to see if BT are admitting to anything?

Any chance of someone picking up my ticket which I have updated over the weekend

Re: 20 bytes per second

Morning.
I've asked someone to pick it up.
As I've mentioned now (four times?), you would get quicker results calling Business Support.

Re: 20 bytes per second

With respect James
I have already spent £100 on two routers trying to get this solved.
I am not inclined to spend more money on phone calls to PN .
Perhaps if you were to provide an 0800 business support number or preferably
handle tickets in a timely fashion.

Re: 20 bytes per second

Now trundling along merrily at 14kbps.
It's like watching paint dry.
PN are blaming the Vortual Path in the exchange and are trying to get BT to move me onto a HOT VP whatever that is.
Has anyone heard of a HOT Virtual Path ?
