We are currently aware of a problem regarding 123-reg nameservers which in turn is affecting the visibility of websites and services such as email. At present, we have engineers looking into this as a matter of urgency. Please be assured we are working to rectify this issue as a priority and hope to resume normal service as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience in the mean time. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Quote from: tdadyslexia Well 123-Reg is back but sluggish, for customers sites to come back up on line.
Thanks for your help earlier, Gary.
I don't host with 123-Reg but www.pipexsanctuary.co.uk is registered through them.
Still unable to access from my PlusNet connection - hosts can't see any problems at their end.
Just added http://www.123-reg.co.uk/status.pl

Problem is that one looks everywhere else first. Changed from static IP to dynamic, chased people who host site etc. Tried dial-up which connected and that threw me - hence changes to PlusNet connection.
Thanks for your help earlier.
Spoke too soon

Your site is still sluggish. Who is your host just out of interest?

They must be having a pretty major failure to down their own site due to DNS! I'd have bodged up a new DNS server just to keep their own site online.

Quote from: bliss Thanks everyone. They seem to have sorted themselves at last.
This is first time I've ever had a problem with them but it did cause agro as I thought it was my actual hosts that were down and chased them.
Partially own fault as still have nameservers pointing at 123-Reg and DNS at hosts. Left it that way as had problems with initial site hosting and ended up moving it twice. Left us more in control.
Just wonder what will ultimately happen to 123-Reg as currently owned by Pipex Comms but it looks like an equity company (with PXC chairman involved) is trying to buy the group.

Update domains with my own nameservers as soon as I can.
