0.13 Mbps since Monday morning..[updated]

As the title suggests, I raised a support question on Tuesdays (Support question ID: 30007676) but no repose other than the automated type.
All the pertinent info is included in the support question, I will  paste it in below. I read the guide on here for speed faults and I'm fairly sure it's not my end at fault.
[quote=ME]
I have confirmed the sync speed to the exchange with 2 different routers connected directly to the master socket with different micro filters. The sync speed is constantly around 5900 Kbps.
I have run several speed tests to different UK based servers, the maximum speed achieved is 0.13 Mb/s.

I ran several trace routes, the high latency appears on your servers.
Tracing route to bbc.co.uk [212.58.224.138]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

That was correct up until this morning where upon running a speed test the result was 0.23Mb/s. Hopefully posting in this forum may get my problem resolved quicker than the support ticket.

Re: 0.13 Mbps since Monday morning..

Hi there,
Can you try rebooting your router and see if you're able to get better speeds?
You should hopefully see a considerable improvement.

Re: 0.13 Mbps since Monday morning..

We received an updated line profile report from BT.  It just needed matching on our systems which would have taken a few more hours, so I changed it manually for you.

[update]
I'm having the same problem as before in my original post, I have run several speed tests to different UK based servers, the maximum speed achieved is around 0.56 Mb/s.
Sync speed is pretty much the same as in the OP.
Same latency probs on your server.

tompug,
What is the result if you run the speedtester at http://www.speedtester.bt.com?

Sorry - Apparently I've just edited your post to show the correct link Smiley
But Tom - Please do run a BT speed test.

tompug,
If you go to this link: https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed what does it say your current line speed is?

Re: 0.13 Mbps since Monday morning..[updated]

OK - I would say that at some point recently, BT reduced your line profile. Obviously they've now upped the profile again, as the BT Speedtest indicates, but the records can take some time (upto 12 hours I think, not too sure though) to update on PlusNet's end.
Has your router re-synced at a low speed at all recently, or have you had any kind of intermittent fault with your connection?

Re: 0.13 Mbps since Monday morning..[updated]

I think it resynced on Saturday evening, been slow ever since.

Re: 0.13 Mbps since Monday morning..[updated]

OK, that makes sense - if it resynced on Saturday evening at a very low sync rate, the BT system may well have thought there was an error on your line and lowered your profile as a result. Now that you're syncing at a higher rate, BT has upped your profile, but the PlusNet system is yet to catch up.
I would say that it should all be rectified by tomorrow morning, if not sooner. Might be worth rebooting the router again at some point this evening to see if that bumps the "current line speed" at the page I linked you to earlier - if it does, problem solved!

this evening is a very bad time to reboot for a higher synch, best time tomorrow morning
