ZyXEL Prestige 2002L

I have not been able to get my ZyXEL 2002L to register at all with the Plus Net service although it will register happily with my Sipgate Account.
My settings are:
SIP Number  xxxxxxxx
SIP Local Port  5060
SIP Server Address  sip2.plus.net
SIP Server Port  5060
REGISTER Server Address  sip2.plus.net
REGISTER Server Port  5060
SIP Service Domain  sip2.plus.net
Authentication User-ID  xxxxxxxxxx
Authentication Password  xxxxxxxxx
Has anyone else had similar problems that they have managed to resolve?

Re: ZyXEL Prestige 2002L

I got confused between the account password (which I changed as instructed) and the SIP/VoIP password which you change on the extensions page.

Re: ZyXEL Prestige 2002L

Hi Civval
I had problems with my Zyxel box but only for SIP to SIP calls.
It registered all ok. The Authentication password I left as what Plusnet gave.
Settings are:
SIP Settings
    Active SIP - ticked
    SIP Number - xxxxxxx
    SIP Local Port    - 5060
    SIP Server Address - sip2.plus.net
    SIP Server Port - 5060
    REGISTER Server Address- sip2.plus.net
    REGISTER Server Port- 5060
    SIP Service Domain   - sip2.plus.net
Authentication
    User-ID  - xxxxxxx
    Password - ******
Advanced Settings
URL TYPE - SIP
Expiration Duration - 3600
Register Re-send timer - 180
Session Expires - 180
Min -SE - 30
RTP Port Range
From - 50000
To     - 65535
Voice Compression Type - G.711 > G.729
STUN
Not Active
Use NAT
Not Active
Outbound Proxy
Active ticked
Server Address - nat.plus.net
server port - 5082

NAT Keep Alive
Not Active
Echo Cancellation...G.168...Active
VAD Support...Active.
Depending if your router is a NAT router you may  need the outbound Proxy details, and if you have a SIP Application Layer Gateway, ALG. you will not?
I completed tests with Noel (fotobits) as we both have the Zyxel P2002L. Our setting differ slightly because of our routers but in general are the same. Might be worth posting all your Zyxel settings and Router settings as Plusnet might be able to point you in the right direction or other forum users.
You also have the active SIP 1 or 2 whichever ticked. It may also be your password, Pnet will be able to test it.
Regards
Scott

Re: ZyXEL Prestige 2002L

civval, I've rather rushed these notes, as I've just got to go out.  However, I think they're correct, if not I'll look at them this evening.
If you find them clear, I'll submit them to PlusNet to put in their recommended settings.
Regards.....Noel

Re: ZyXEL Prestige 2002L

Yes, Civval, Scott is correct.  Some of my settings are because of my router and cannot be considered suitable as a standard for everyone.
Follow Scott's advice!

Re: ZyXEL Prestige 2002L

Thanks for your help.  It seems to be working fine now.
I used Scott's settings with the Outbound Proxy ticked
