VoIP voicemail - how do I listen to any messages?

Because I never receive VoIP calls, I have never set up the voicemail service.
However, in anticipation, I would like to set up the mailbox and access any messages from the handset.
What to I dial to access my voicemails?
Regards....

No problem, I knew where the info was because I setup my VoIP system a couple of weeks ago, and needed the voicemail dialing codes to program into my phone's multi-answerphone configuration !

Re: VoIP voicemail - how do I listen to any messages?

What am I doing wrong, Purleigh?
When I ring 185 I receive the response, which sounds like "Camelia response, mailbox"  and after a pause, this is followed by something like "you're being incorrect!"
When I ring *1 the response sounds like"Voicemail is unavailable!"

I see what you mean about '185' !  -  I hadn't tried that.
I've been using '*1' from my handset, and that works every time (I just checked it again).
Have you checked whether in your account control panel, in the "Voicemail settings" that the "Enabled" box is ticked ?

Once again, thank you so much purleigh, you got it right first time!
No, I hadn't "enabled" voicemail in my Broadband Account settings....
*1 works fine!
I owe you a pint.....!

Re: VoIP voicemail - how do I listen to any messages?

I did just find on the Gradwell site (suppliers to Plusnet), that you have to do -
185 + extension number + voicemail PIN    Crazy
but I can't be bothered to try it as '*1' is much easier for my single extension number !  Roll eyes

Glad you are sorted now  Cool

Oh right. Thanks for pursuing, purleigh...most grateful, however, as you say *1 works OK.
