VOIP devices failing to register

My various VOIP devices have all failed to register with the service since yesterday.
I notice that Gradwell are / have been carrying out work classified as low impact, could this be the source of the problem?

Re: VOIP devices failing to register

I've resolved the issue.
I logged into the VOIP Control Panel and noticed that the line had last registered on 11th July.  This coincided with the last time that my Internet connection was established (IP address 84.93.xxx.xxx).
A short while ago, from my router, I dropped the Internet connection, waited a short time and then connected again to obtain a different IP address and this time the VOIP connection registered correctly.
Conclusion:  for some reason, the VOIP connection would not register on an IP address in the range 84.93.xxx.xxx.

Re: VOIP devices failing to register

There's is an ACL configured for Broadband Phone that restricts certain access based on IP. I've checked the ACL list though and 84.92.0.0/15 is present which encompasses the IP you were assigned when you had problems.
One to keep an eye on. Shout up if it happens again.

Re: VOIP devices failing to register

Well, I seem to have a similar problem.  I've had a stable connection via my Gigaset N300 for months (years?).  Yesterday,  I noticed that it was reporting "Registration Failed"  -- I've made no changes to the config.  I can still connect to the service and make/receive calls via my Android phone, but the Gigaset persistently says no.
[edited:  re-booting my router solved the problem.  Hmm.  With regard to the discussion above, I have  a static IP, so that wasn' the issue.  Everything else was working just fine.]

Re: VOIP devices failing to register

I'm getting the same yesterday/today.
I had to reboot my HH2 (that does my voip) to plug in a fan yesterday. Since then it has been unable to register, just sits with the orange light on, occasional flashing as it tries to register.

Re: VOIP devices failing to register

Different subnet, so these issues don't seem to be pointing to the IP. Little hard to replicate here though given that we've no access to your SIP login credentials. Not that it helps, but my account seems to be registering OK. No open service status threads over at Gradwell. Worth a password reset do you think? If that doesn't work then I'd suggest raising a support ticket so taht we can look into it.

Re: VOIP devices failing to register

Mine only happened after a drop reconnect of the voip client. It had been connected solidly for ages before this, even over router reboots (which my 589 seems to want to do daily  Crazy)
Will open a ticket.
