VOIP Trial X-Lite OSX 10.5, error message 503, no route to host

Any ideas what this might be. Router is D Link  DSLG-624T and configured correctly, (at least it worked with previous version OSX 10.4,) and as far as I am aware, have configured the Firewall correctly. Any ideas, can find help on this one anywhere?
Cheers
Bill

Re: VOIP Trial X-Lite OSX 10.5, error message 503, no route to host

found this which might be of us from an XLite engineer on X-Lite's support pages:
"There's an incompatibility between mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) and X-lite which causes this error and makes the softphone un-useable. I've moved to SJPhone (sjlabs dot com) and it's working with OS X 10.5 without any issues."
I suggest you give SJPhones a try - report back if you can as this is definately an FAQ item.

XLite v2 is reported to work as well:

OK, Thanks for  that. Has anyone set up SJPhone? ANy pointers please?
Just a footnote, XLite v2 is  the version I am using as the later version had no chance!
Where can I get a SIP phone? Is it possible to plug into USB rather than a router, as that would mean new router as well.

Re: VOIP Trial X-Lite OSX 10.5, error message 503, no route to host

After speaking to our VoIP suppliers (Gradwell) last week they were quick to suggest that we should encourage the use of SJPhone as a recommended SIP client. I havent given this a go yet - still investigating the XLite v3 issues we've been having versus V2

PAP2 devices (Linksys do a decent one) seem to be popular amongst our other trial users. Theres a major thread on appropriate hardware types at the link below:

In terms of USB - I used to have a USRobotics USB handset that was sturdy as a rock - i think these look pretty good and im pretty sure i've seen these in the Gradwell offices (currently undergoing some tests). Best bet would be to read some reviews or create a dedicated thread for USB VoIP telephony if you wish to go down that route. Personally, i'd get yourself a decent headset instead and operate through some SIP software.

I'm not on the VoIP trial, but FWIW I use Leopard so discovered the X-Lite bug too, and I moved to a piece of software called 'X Meeting' - it's only alpha or beta IIRC but it's simple and it seems to work fine.
