I'd warrant a guess at this:

SIP URI: sip:<sip_id>@sip.plus.net
Username: <sip_id>
Password: <voip_password>
Confirm Password: <voip_password>
Displayname: <your_name>
Abbreviated number: <sip_id>
Port: 5060
Where the values in chevrons are replaced with the relevant information from your Broadband Phone account.

Looks about right to me. If you do find the correct configuration then how about writing a set up article for our support library? Wink

Re: Thompson St716 VOIP setup

I'm assuming that you can log into voip.plus.net okay. Your sip id. is your extension number and you can see this in the account overview as a 7 digit number. You enter the number only not as Bob indicated with the @sip.plusnet. The password is what you were given and I can't remember now whether this is the same as you use to log into the voip.plus.net portal as mine are now different. But if you go into the account details by clicking on the extension number you can change the sip password.
I did intially have problems with registering and had to select for the Port all. Then a day later I went back changed it to Phone 1 and then edit phone 2 to remove it from the list.

Re: Thompson St716 VOIP setup

Yes can log in fine, but it does say "offline since 2008-04-19 17:12:24" last time I used it was with the xlite software.
Thanks for the help though, I know both my log in password and SIP Password so will give both a whirl.
Will report back Smiley

Re: Thompson St716 VOIP setup

I am using the following on my speedtouch router
192.168.1.254
Telephony
Pick Configure
Service Configuration
Click edit
Sip URI = extension number
Username  =extension number
password =account password
Confirm password account password
Display name =blank
Abbreviated Number =Blank
Port  Phone= 1
Hit apply
Next
Expert Configure
Service Confuration
Registrar  =sip.plus.net
Registrar Port = 5060
Proxy =natproxy.plus.net
Proxy Port =5082
Expire Time =3600
Hit apply
Go back to Telephony Details Service Configuration
put a tick in Enable Telephony box
It should change to registered you may hear your speedtouch router click it can take a few minutes to change
These are the latest setting if they fail your account may have to be manually add or whitelisted by Gradwell.  If so raise a ticket
Let me know how you get on?

ps voip has been down a couple of times this weekend and if you get e-mail saying the router has gone off-line just take a tick out of plusnet voip account settings I have found they are of no use.
