Second opinion ref SIP password change....

Hi,
Hopefully someone can confirm that either i'm an idiot  Smiley or there is a way to change the SIP password to something I want rather than the 'reset' option in the VoIP control panel which generates a random password?
The 'help' bubble suggests I can enter my own password 'here'  following the usual mixture of characters etc. but I can't seen anywhere to enter it?
I've tried several PC's and IE, firefox and Chrome..
Any help/confirmation would be appreciated..
Thanks

Nope, it was changed so you can only use the system generated ones.
Painful, but it's all we have..

Re: Second opinion ref SIP password change....

Hi dvorak,
Sorry for the late 'thankyou' - much appreciated.
Can't understand the PN reasoning behind this change as I have to write it down (defeats the object Smiley ) and keep it if I install the software on another laptop.
Cheers,
Pete

Re: Second opinion ref SIP password change....

Yes it was a Gradwell thing.
Many people had their SIP passwords hacked and were then open to be charged for expensive calls being made by the hackers.
It is inconvenient but better than a large unexpected bill....
