SJphone 1.65 will not register unless SJphone 1.60 is running in background

I have been having trouble getting SJphone (or anything else for that matter) registering. So tried a re-install and needed to download again to do so. Downloaded old version by mistake and left it running in background. Downloaded latest version and it worked (for the 1st time).
So now I have found that I have to have the old version running in the background for the new version to actaully register.
If I remove the old version, the new version stops working.
Any idea?

sounds like a port issue to me. They are both probably trying to use the same 5060 default SIP port and when they are both open or when you registered the newer version with the old one still open the newer version probably defaulted to 5061. Try opening both of the ports (5060 & 5061) on your router and it may work.
