SIP dailing from Outlook

Hi
I thought I'd tell you about a small app that allows you to dial out from Outlook (2007 tested here) using a SIP handset (mine's a Grandstream Budget-Tone 100). Oh, and BTW it's free!
The file can be downloaded from -
https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=146322
Instructions for the installation are at -
http://www.enum.at/SIP-TAPI.479.0.html
Its as simple as coping the unzipped file into Windows\System32 directory.
Set up is through "control panel/phone and modem options" by adding a new TAPI device.
My setup is as follows -
SIP domain                      = sip2.plus.net
SIP Outbound Proxy          = the IP address of your SIP phone handset
User                                = nnnnnnn
password                          = *******
User's extension                = nnnnnn@sip2.plus.net
If this is your only TAPI device Outlook will pick it up automatically.
Using it is easy, using Outlook contacts - select the contact and click on the phone icon to start the dialling process, lift the handset when it rings and you're there! The call is automatically routed.

Re: SIP dailing from Outlook

of course, i'd recommend using sip.plus.net as sip2 is being end of lifed at some point.

Thanks to Rich and Puddy for the info. I hadn't updated my old setup.
