Outgoing Caller ID

Is there a way to set the outgoing caller ID of my VoIP calls to be the same as my BT landline, so that I don't need to tell people another number? I suspect not, but it's worth asking!

Re: Outgoing Caller ID

I have an account with voip.co.uk and indeed this is an option with them.
The extra number has to go through a verification process first but I assume as they offer it there must be a way of legally doing this?

Re: Outgoing Caller ID

This feature is currently being built and tested on our staging platform - we plan to deploy this sometime next month maybe bundled with a couple of other exciting features. We'll be creating best practises for each new feature to let you know all the details / cost etc.
cheers

Re: Outgoing Caller ID

Actually, what I am really interested in is hiding/withholding the caller id rather than spoofing it. Is this possible (or will it be)?
thanks,

Re: Outgoing Caller ID

We can withhold the Caller ID for you on demand.
Simply raise a ticket and one of our VoIP experts will action this for you.
In regards to the feature, I asked about this myself the other day. Little more than this being in development right now, but is queued as a wanted feature for some enhancements we want to offer for the business range of products.
