New Nat Proxy Trial

Hi there,
As the Broadband phone service continues to expand, we need to replace the NAT proxy solution we have. This is the server known as "nat.plus.net" which you have in your phone configs. The NAT proxy does various bits of jiggery-pokery to make VoIP work through firewalls, ADSL routers, etc.
We are therefore running a test of our new NAT proxy service, and if you like testing things then we'd welcome your feedback.
The new nat proxy setting is (replaces nat.plus.net:5082) in your config.
natproxy.plus.net:5082
Please let me know how it goes in this forum thread. You shouldn't really see any difference!
cheers
peter

Re: New Nat Proxy Trial

I've changed the settings on my Flexor 500 and it now says I have an 'invalid username'. Suggestions?

Re: New Nat Proxy Trial

When using SJPhone, I get "403 Fobidden - no OBP" responses to all SIP requests directed at natproxy.plus.net.
Might natproxy.plus.net fail to recognise that it is acting as an OBP when it tests whether an OBP is being used?

Re: New Nat Proxy Trial

I have no NAT proxy in my configuration.  I do have my phone going offline quite a bit now and it was working so well.

Re: New Nat Proxy Trial

Peter is dealing with this one directly - i'd suggest that if it doesnt work for you then please revert back to the original nat setting - nat.plus.net. Peter will more than likely know what the problem is without you needing to be connected and actively replicating the problem.
cheers

Re: New Nat Proxy Trial

I have changed to natproxy.plus.net and the only difference I think I have is that my 'phone adapter registers evey 30-mins now (in sympathy with the default 3,600-secs).
Previously it registered every 27-secs, 'though recently it has been registering every 12-secs.
I don't know the reason for, or purpose of these registration changes.

Re: New Nat Proxy Trial

Would someone please tell me what this NAT proxy is for..  It all seems like a conversation for the inner circle and not for the customers.
