Issue: delay in establishing voice channel on calls

Abstract: Siemens C460 IP handsets, initial 5 second audio delay setup
Details:
We have traced this problem to the way that these Siemens handsets interact with our Asterisk servers. We have identified a patch to Asterisk which we hope will solve the problem. The patch is currently in testing, and will be released to our production environment as soon as we're confident that the patch works.

I think this related to the problem we had quite a while back and the temporary fix was to use a prefix **610 or **620 to divert the calls through an alternate network which catered for the audio packets being sent. Not 100% sure on that one but if you were asked to use a prefix sometime ago, try removing it and seeing if it works. Not thats only for Siemens C460 users.
