Gigaset N300ip Registration failed

I am close to putting my Gigaset N300IP in the bin. I have followed posts on this forum and despite entering the correct details it fails to register.
I have included a screenshot and have had Plusnet confirm password although they only reset it, I have done this in the control panel.
I have the Gigaset.net registered ok.
In the control center it sees the nat information and the IP address of my Gigaset.

Re: Gigaset N300ip Registration failed

Hi, Are you expecting the N300 status display to update automatically when it registers ? it doesn't. You need to manually refresh it for it to show registered. The fact that the control panel shows the NAT information and IP tends to indicate that it's actually registered. Does it show something like this ?
Quote
nat.thw, expires at 2014-05-14 09:11:06, logged into v-sip-1
NAT: 8xxxxxx on from 80.229.nnn.nnn (80-229-nnn-nnn.plus.com), internal IP 192.168.5.70, until 2014-05-14 09:11:09

What happens when you try to make/recieve a call ?

That is true (or it often takes a couple of minutes to update the displayed status) - that used to confuse me,  Embarrassed
HOWEVER the display on the wireless handset(s) WILL change from not registered, to normal, fairly instantly.  Wink

I couldn't remember whether the handset showed the status all the time... Mine are all set to blank the display when not in use

Re: Gigaset N300ip Registration failed

When the wireless handset is sitting in its charging cradle, mine are set to display the digital clock, but when the VoIP connection fails then the display changes to indicate that registration has been lost.

Re: Gigaset N300ip Registration failed

Thanks for your replies.
Both handsets report the same that registration has failed.
I don't think I have missed anything, I can log into the voip control panel and change the password.
I haven't tried to make a call on the voip but expected the unit to show that it has registered, I have refreshed and this was after 16 hours.
I have pstn connected too and can use that.
I have a linksys x3500 router and have opened the ports to try and rule out the firewall.
I guess I need to try the connection lol.

Re: Gigaset N300ip Registration failed

There used to be some issues with sip id's that started with a '4', not sure if it's still a problem. http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,115701.32.html
You had to drop the leading digit...
