Re: Draytek Vigor 2800V VoIP Set Up

if its the same as the 2600v i never setup one of these for a very long time but try these
sip
port 1  5060
domain sip.plus.net
proxy sip.plus.net or try natproxy.plus.net
outbound proxy blank
port settings
register wan or auto
display name your name
account name ext number
authentication id ext number
password  password
expiry time 10min
stun server blank
One important tip that has recently been discovered:
The default setup in Draytek routers for ISP access is NOT "Always On".
This needs to be changed or your Draytek will seem to work when your computer is on, but soon shut off because it is not in use

Re: Draytek Vigor 2800V VoIP Set Up

Not familiar with the 2800V so downloaded the manual, that was hard work trying to find it on the Draytek site!!!
Anyway , from my experience with other ATA's/Routers and referring the Draytek manual , I must say your settings look fine. One possibility is to check that the default SIP account is setup PlusTalk for the individual phone line ( 1 or 2 ), manual page 110, although since there is only one account defined I would expect it to default to that...
Also what  does the status display show ( page 114 ) , that might help diagnose ?
I would have suggested that maybe you have a voip account problem ( there's been a couple recently ) but given that SjPhone works, that can't be an issue.
As Puddy suggested , check the Idle Timeout ( page 117 ) and make sure its set to 0 ( not the default 180 ).

Draytek routers need the idle timeout set to -1 to be "Always On" - the 2800 should have an always on check box on the WAN set up page that will automatically fill the timeout box with -1 (at least my non-VoIP 2800 does).

Re: Draytek Vigor 2800V VoIP Set Up

I am using a Draytek 2800VG and have had no problems using it for Plusnet's Broadband phone. Attached is a screen shot of my settings. The main difference appears to be the lack of a tick in the Authentication ID box.
Assuming you are able to connect the server you will also need to change the DTMF mode of the VOIP port if you want to be able to set up a voice prompt using your handset. Click on 'Phone Settings' under the VOIP menu and then click on the port number that you are using followed by the 'Advanced' tab. Change the DTMF mode to 'SIP INFO (cisco format)'.

Embarrassed Oops , sorry about that , you're right. I was looking at the ISDN page....

That's bizzare , the manual says you dont NEED to check it if the Account number and Authentication are the same BUT not that you SHOULDNT check it. That's software bugs for you !!!
