Broadband phone working but cannot select options from voicemail menu

My Plusnet Broadband phone is working perfectly on incoming and outgoing VOIP calls (with handset dialling).
I receive message notifications and I can access the voicemail system (using *1) but when connected I cannot select options from the voicemail menu eg 1, to listen , 3 options etc.  Whatever I select, nothing is recognised after the tone is sent and the menu message just repeats several times ignoring all input.
I am using a Camrivox Flexor 151 Analog Telephone Adaptor with a cheap DECT phone from Argos - Magicbox Tachi
I can also access my analogue line using recall, and can then dial numbers with no problem.
Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks

Not familiar with the 151 but try changing the DTMF mode ( page 44 of the manual http://www.camrivox.com/media/content/file/camrivox_flexor_151_user_manual.pdf ). You can set either InBand or RFC 2833 usually RFC 2833 works better.

I had a 151 until lightening took it out and from memory I believe what @MisterW has suggested is the answer.

Thanks everyone - RFC 2833 worked a treat - your help appreciated.
