Audio Dropping during call (Outbound)

Probably been posted elsewhere, so feel free to shoot me.
Have made 2 calls this morning, both to PSTN numbers. Approximately 1-2 minutes into the call, the audio drops, resulting in the called party hanging up.
I'm using a Nokia N95 8gb - all set up and been running perfectly well recently, this has just been happening today.
Can someone shed some light on this?
Cheers
Roger.

Re: Audio Dropping during call (Outbound)

Roger,
Which outbound proxy are you using ?
nat.plus.net OR the new one natproxy.plus.net.
Try changing to the other one and see if the problem is still there.

Using the nat.plus.net proxy - will try the new natproxy address and see how that goes..

Re: Audio Dropping during call (Outbound)

Update...
Made an outgoing call via SIP to PSTN. within 5 minutes, audio dropped out, and couldn't hear called party. This is using the new sip proxy..
Any suggestions?

Re: Audio Dropping during call (Outbound)

Roger,
You haven't managed somehow to get the 'Wireless power saving' enabled on the N95 have you ? I believe that can cause similar problems.
If that isnt the problem then it does sound to me like a NAT timeout problem. You havent changed anything on your router recently have you ?
Do voip calls from a softphone work ok ? At least that would prove whether its the N95 or a router/proxy issue.
I'm afraid I've no direct experience with the N95 and voip yet , although I'm hoping to get my daughters cast off N95 when she upgrades at the end of her contract next month.
I think Bob Pullen is a bit of a guru on the N95 and voip so it might be worth dropping him a PM and see if he has any ideas.

Re: Audio Dropping during call (Outbound)

Just to re-visit this thread Smiley
None of the power settings were set for power saving on the wireless, and it's set for the lowest power setting.. setting it for anything higher drains my battery in next to no time..
Oh.. and all of the ports are mapped in the router (netgear DG834G V4) with most current firmware installed.
/queue Bob..

Re: Audio Dropping during call (Outbound)

Roger,
If you are using the outbound proxy you shouldnt need any port forwarding on the router.
Try removing it.
If that doesnt help then also make sure the SIP ALG is disabled on the 'Advanced WAN settings' page on the DG834.
