Almost there - Incoming calls problem though.

Just recently joined the trial and I believe I have finally managed to setup my Linksys WAG54GP2v2 VOIP Router correctly.
I can make outgoing calls no problem, and I see my allocated geographical number appear on the CLI of the number I am dialling. However if I try to make a call into my allocated geographical number I just get a steady tone.
Anybody out there using the WAG54GP2v2, just so I can check my settings?
Or maybe it's another issue, I read previous posts about geographical numbers becoming "detached".

Re: Almost there - Incoming calls problem though.

your absolutely right, this seems to happen on 1 out of 200 accounts. I've corrected the detached extension number and you should be able to receive inbound calls now...
cheers

Re: Almost there - Incoming calls problem though.

I've checked all 3 of these
mcgurka - I got "destination unresolved errors"
dscentral - worked fine, made a call to my mobile successfully
dscentral2 - worked fine, made a call to my mobile successfully
Does this marry up with what you were seeing?

Re: Almost there - Incoming calls problem though.

Havent tried inbound to these PSTN numbers yet, i'll give you a call on these numbers tomorrow morning - if your not about to have a quick chat dont worry, i'll still be able to test anyway.

Yep, ties up, if what I am seeing is correct, you will get out of service errors on all of the numbers.

Re: Almost there - Incoming calls problem though.

I've checked the mcgurka account and everythings working fine now through SJPhones - the account registered and i received an incoming call from Gradwell without any problems. We also traced the call and Gradwell acknowledged that you had everything setup correctly at your end as well. Please let me know if you have any further problems.

Re: Almost there - Incoming calls problem though.

That i had everything setup correctly? I assume so, since its the setup ive always used... my problem is calling in from the PSTN network however... Im assuming gradwell tested from a SIP phone... just tried all 3 of my numbers there, and they are all comming back as 'temporarily out of service'

ok, there has to be an advanced setting somewhere which is causing this. Think your going to have to provide config details for the devices in question.

Re: Almost there - Incoming calls problem though.

Its my trixbox config, same one as has worked since i moved to the trial.. and now wont! Having looked at the console of the trixbox, the system does not even seen the call arrive, no notify message, nothing comes through to the system..

Re: Almost there - Incoming calls problem though.

Best bet would be to fiddle around with the NAT & outbound proxy settings - it seems that the root cause of most registration faults.
NAT: nat.plus.net:5082
Outbound proxy: same as above - try it with and without.
