2700HGV ata setup help!

Hi i have a 2700hgv router with ata but i'm not sure how to set up the VOIP. I know it can be done but not sure how. It asked me for these settings:
Profile Name: plusnet
VOIP Service Type: SIP
Server IP Address:
Server Port: 5060
Domain:
Register Expire Time: 3600
Register Retry Interval: 3600
Use 11-digit DIDs:  none
Show CID Names:   ticked
Require Authentication:   ticked
Not sure what Server IP address or Domain is needed. I would be greatful for any help.  Thanks

Re: 2700HGV ata setup help!

Hi,
I used to have my 2700HGV working with voip.
for Server IP Address: sip.plus.net
for Domain: sip.plus.net
When you've configured the profile make sure the box next the the Profile is checked when you select 'Submit'
otherwise it won't be active. Dont forget to configure one of the lines via the normal Voip config with your PlusNet Sip ID and password.
There is another hidden config page http://home/xslt?PAGE=J65 which allows you to associate a profile with a line.
One thing I noticed however with the 2700 voip is that quite often the person at the other end could hear their voice echoing. Never could find a way to fix that and so since I wanted to use voip seriously I changed to a Siemens C475IP phone. Still use the 2700HGV as a router though , and its SIP ALG works so even with an external ATA you dont have to worry abount NATfirewalls and outbound proxies or opening ports the 2700 does it all.
Hope that helps, any queries post back.

Re: 2700HGV ata setup help!

Have you been though the the voip setup and entered your PlusNET SIP id  and password into Line 1
Use your SIP id in both the 'User Name' and 'Auth Username'.
Make sure the 'activate box' is checked against the line on this http://home/xslt?PAGE=V03 page
Make sure the box is checked against Profile 0 on this http://home/xslt?PAGE=J62 page ( assuming its profile 0 you've set up for PlusNet )
Then make sure your PlusNet profile is associated with Line 1on this http://home/xslt?PAGE=J65 page
Let me know how that goes.

Re: 2700HGV ata setup help!

That's the SingTel firmware isnt it ?
The voip doesn't work on that , I've tried before.
You need the BT firmware to get voip working.
Anything 5.29.107.12 or above I think.

Re: 2700HGV ata setup help!

No mines a single SSID but all the 5.29... BT firmware are ok for Dual SSID's AFAIK.
Take a look at this site http://bt2700hgv.tripod.com/ir1002700HGV.htm
A good site for 2700HGV config details if you've not been there.
I'm pretty sure you can get 5.29.107.12 from a link on thatsite http://bt2700hgv.tripod.com/ir1002700HGV.htm#BT%20Recovery%20Firmware%20v5.29.107.12
If you have a problem getting the firmware I have a copy which I could probably put on the office ftp server or website.
Only problem is I won't be in the office till Wed...
Drop me a PM if you need help getting it.

Re: 2700HGV ata setup help!

'fraid I've got to go out now but I'll check back in tomorrow morning if I get chance before I go out.
If not I'll be back tomorrow about 5 ish.
I've updated the firmware on both ( yes they are so good I've got a spare) of my 2700's without any problems. It takes a little while and make sure you dont turn the power off whilst its doing it.
Good luck.

Re: 2700HGV ata setup help!

Glad to be of help. I'd be interested to know if you suffer from the echo problem ?
My active 2700HGV was upgraded by the BT servers some while ago to 5.29.117.6 but that doesnt happen anymore.
My standby one still has 5.29.107.12 since its never been upgraded so I'd like to know whether that might still have the echo fault.
