xbox - Dynamode usb modem

Hi There,

Do I Really NEED an Ethernet router modem to connect the Xbox. I have 2 Realtek network cards and the Dynamode usb modem. Is there a way of configuring this setup under WinXP Home??...

I can't install the config software for the modem as PPPoE is there a workaround?

Regards

Neil

Nope, you will need a router.

I thought you could use ICS with the X-Box? I may be wrong though.

Windows Internet Connection Sharing. Smiley

ICS is, as Thomas rightly said, Internet Connection Sharing. It's a way of allowing multiple Windows-based computers to access the internet at the same time. More details are available on the Microsoft Support Site.

Though I may be wrong - this may not work with the X-Box, I have no experience of this.

Thanks for all your suggestions - no joy connecting though. Now have an ADSL router and no problems...
