wireless or ethernet netgear.?

Hi,i have a netgear dg834gt,which i have at the moment, working on my ethernet cable.I did have it setup for wireless but was experimenting on the netgear webpage and unticked one of the boxes in the wireless setup.I dont at the moment need the wireless and i can switch it back on and set it up again with the cd e.t.c.Am i at any disadvantage using the ethernet setup or does anyone think i should go back to wireless setup.??
kind regards ray and up the owls.

up to you really. if you really need wireless (eg for a laptop) then use it. Otherwise wired is much the most secure and probably quicker.

It comes down to whether you need the convenience of wireless or not.

If you don't, then always use ethernet as it is secure and in my experience faster. If you are going to use ethernet on an ongoing basis then go into the Wireless Options in your router menu and switch off the wireless capability.
